Returning to my loft in the Bronx next week. Currently working on a new album that will feature strings, piano, and vocals. Keep posted for open mic nights. So blessed... "No More No Less" was chosen alternative rock track of the day on April 8th at GarageBand.com . I got compared to Radiohead!!! (who listeners thought I sounded like and was influenced by). Hope everyone is well and thank you kindly for your support.

New year, new aspirations. Looking promising. New on the site is a live performance of “No More No Less”- listen to Ted Poor’s solo at the end. I’m so blessed to play with him. Also- keep checking back for dates- I’m investing in a keyboard around 15 lbs. that I can easily transport to open mics/shows/etc. My Yamaha Motif Es8, which I currently use is 65 lbs. Yes, picture me moving that back and forth. Anyways, hope everyone had a happy new year- be in touch soon. Also- recording of “Ave Maria” is up on My Space. I love that song. www.myspace.com/christinehaganproject.

December 3rd. 2008

It's been quite a while. Sorry for the lack of time. Many doings in between the last time I updated. I've scored a commercial, I'm working on releasing a new E.P.(which will be available on ITunes, etc) ...and the most exciting part! I'm working on new material. I will also be doing arrangements for a Smithsonian book which is very exciting. Watch for me doing more solo voice and piano gigs in NYC... I'm taking a break and being intimate for a while. They all come from the piano anyways Finally, and most awesome, there are two new tracks up on the site produced by Josh Valleau and Ryan Ferreira featuring Mike Chiavaro on bass and Ted Poor on drums.

Saturday June 3rd, 2006

… listening to Portishead…  I’ve clearly failed at updating regularly, but the quest continues anyways.  Many great happenings have aspired since I last wrote.  I’ve spent the better part of the last six months composing and have lots of new material.  There are two new songs up on the sounds page to check out.  “123” I just finished last week, and “Girl” is a live recording from Ultrasound. The band (Ted Poor-drums, Grey McMurray- guitar, Mike Chiavaro- bass) just returned from recording two new tracks in Boston which are now awaiting mixing and mastering.  The completion of the album is finally nearing; a process which has taken much patience and endurance.  In other news, I will be returning to school in the fall at NYU for music engineering and film scoring.

October 20th, 2005

-New sound clip of recently completed studio track- “Heroine”- on music page.  This track was a collaborative effort withh producer Anthony J. Resta. Hope you all enjoy - Lately been very busy with composing, teaching, practicing and rehearsing- Looking forward to upcoming shows late fall.

Thursday May 5th, 2005- 10:51 PM- listening to new Nine Inch Nails LP- With Teeth- been searching out new music desperately- any suggestions- hit me.  Band resumes this Monday May 9th for a summer full of bling.  I’ve been going crazy trying to finish three new songs- two “pop” per industry recommendation and one piano concerto-esque (as Josh refers to it-).  I seem to be cursed with having an abundance of ideas consistently and constantly questioning which works the best- on the up side, the word writer’s block is foreign to me.  Working on co-writing song with Anthony J. Resta- will be heading into studio this month to lay down vocals- stay awake.

Saturday April 9th (2:41 AM)-  … as I sit here weak and weary once upon a midnight dreary… it’s finally spring- and though I must admit I miss the cold grayness of a stale winter night-  I think the sunshine helps the majority of us to brighten our moods somewhat.  Hopefully I will update this page frequently- it has always been a desire to journal on my website consistently- even if there is a period in time where nothing ground breaking is happening; just my own little insight into the on goings of the outside world.  I find myself in a strange place of lawyers, managers, etc. right now which is new for me… I’m used to strictly worrying about having the time to compose and rehearse, but as of late my attention is drawn to the industry side of things… interesting… trying to keep my head above water while I teach and compose and juggle the day to day madness of a 26 year old.  My sister got married last weekend in MI… I was her maid of honor- I played the Brahms Romanze OP. 118 in F major (check it out if you aren’t familiar with it…).  Amidst all of this, I’m trying to learn more about the life of Pope John Paul II.  Until next time, peace…

Sunday February 13th-

Back from boston .  EP is finished and sounds amazing.  Being sent to L.A. to be mastered by Joe Gastwirt (Oceanview Digital… credits include Joni Mitchell, Rickie lee Jones, and so on…  ).  Focusing on business end of things for the moment… management, promotional team, etc.  keep checking back for updates…  will be happening more frequently as release grows nearer.  Peace.

Monday January 24th…

… anxiously awaiting returning to Boston February 4th and 5th to finish mixing EP. Been composing diligently meanwhile… hopefully will be able to premier new material at next show… looking forward to recording being finished and focusing on performing again. Definitely been a surreal experience with many highs and lows. Hopefully the finished product reflects all the work, sacrifice and love so many devoted to this project. Teaching piano lessons has kept me busy, along with several side projects I have going on… including: Jen Graham Ensemble (performing originals, Philip Glass selections) and MANY Beyondo gigs approaching (every Wednesday in Feb. 11 PM at the C note). Hopefully 2005 will be an amazing year filled with creativity and opportunities.

Sunday December 19th…

… The past two months have been rehearsals, arrangements, sleeping on the floor in Brooklyn, 251 W. 30th, 24 hour days w. no rest… amazing. Through much effort and sacrifice by all involved, stage one of recording has been completed… returned from boston yesterday. The record was recorded at studio bopnique (Lowell, MA)- is being produced by anthony j. resta and engineered by karyadi sutedja… (check em out… they’re insane- www.studiobopnique.com)…it features grey mcmurray- guitar, ike sturm- bass, josh valleau- synths, programming, ted poor- drums. Very exciting- cannot wait for everyone to hear the finished product. I’m going back up to boston first and second week in January to record live piano, strings, and do mixing… then it’s off to LA for mastering… probably looking at Feb. before you can purchase CD. I feel like w. this recording a new chapter begins. Many new opportunities and hard work lies ahead… ready for the challenge with all my heart.
